Basics

Serenade integrates with a few different Atom features. For instance, you can say commands like:

save
undo
redo

Tabs

Atom supports tabs for editing multiple files at once. You can control them with commands like:

new tab
close tab
next tab
previous tab

Splits

Atom also supports splits, which lets you see multiple panes at once. To create splits, you can say:

split left
split right
split up
split down

To close the current split, you can say:

close window

To move your cursor to different splits, you can say:

left window
right window
up window
down window

Styling

Serenade comes with support for styling files for you, so you don’t have to worry about getting the spacing perfect. To auto-format the file you’re working on, you can just say:

style file

Repeat

You can use the repeat command to execute commands multiple times. If you just say:

repeat

Then you’ll re-execute the command you just executed. Or, you can say:

repeat delete

To repeat the last command that contained the word delete.

A common usage of the repeat command is to skim through a file quickly. For instance, you can say:

next function

Or:

phrase manager

Then, you can keep saying:

repeat

To iterate through the results of your search.
